- Make ready 1 tsp red chilli powder
- Take 1/4 tsp haldi powder
- Get 1 big boiled and cooled potato
- Prepare 25 gms grated paneer
- Prepare 1/2 tbsp chat masala
- Get 1/2 tsp frankie masala / tandoori tikka masala /garam masala
- Take 4 tbsp cornflour
- Take 4 heaped spoon bread crumbs
- Prepare for salad-
- Get 1/2 onion sliced
- Prepare 1/4 capsicum thinly sliced
- Make ready 1 cup thinly sliced cabbage
- Make ready 1 tbsp red chilli sauce
- Make ready 1 tsp chilli vinegar
- Get to taste Salt
- Prepare Pinch chat masala
- Make ready for assembly-
- Take As required Mayo of your choice
- Prepare As per taste Tomato ketcup
- Prepare As required Cheese grated
- Prepare As required Schezwan Chutney
- Get As required Oil to fry
We have given a healthy twist to normal Vegetable Frankie which is made. Recipe courtesy of Tabla Bread Bar. For the Frankie: Heat the mixed vegetables in a saute pan until warm. In a large saute pan heat a very small amount of oil.
Steps to make 2 Way Vegetable Frankie:
- PROCEDURE TO MAKE DOUGH FOR ROTIS- Take all-purpose flour, whole wheat flour salt and oil in a bowl mix it and add water to make a soft dough out of it. Rest the dough for 20 mins.
- After 20 mins make thin rotis out of the dough and flip on heated tawa untill white spots appear. Keep these rotis aside.
- SALAD PREPARATION - In a bowl mix sliced onions, capsicum, cabbage, salt, chat masala, red chilli sauce and chilli vinegar. Keep aside.
- PREPARATION OF TIKKI- In a pan heat oil, add jeera. When it splutters add finely chopped carrot, capsicum, cabbage and beans. Then add ginger garlic chilli paste. Atlast add salt red chilli powder and haldi powder and mix well. Cook these untill all the water is evaporated and mix is dried. Keep aside to cool.
- When the above mix is cool add boiled potato, paneer grated, corn flour, bread crumbs, chat masala, frankie masala and adjust the salt. Mix properly to form a dough. Make tikkis out of it and then cover the tikkis first with slurry of maida (1 tbsp maida + water to make slurry) and the roll in bread crumbs.
- Deep fry these tikkis in heated oil on med to fast flame untill golden brown.
- ASSEMBLY OF FRANKIE- VEG CHEESE FRANKIE - Lay a roti apply ketchup, then apply mayo of your choice I have used thousand island mayo, then on one side spread some salad put tikki over it, grate some cheese over it and wrap it properly.
- Then flip this wrap on tawa for few seconds.
- VEG SECHZWAN FRANKIE- Lay a roti apply ketchup, then sechzwan sauce, then spread some salad and put tikki over it. Wrap to form a frankie and flip it on heated tawa for few seconds before serving.
