Place the Appam pan over the flame.Grease each cavity with little oil.Pour some chana dal batter in each cavity such that it fills only half of the cavity.Now put masala peanuts in each cavity over the batter.Cover it with some more batter to fill the cavity.Cook on low to medium flame for 3-4 minutes.Flip to cook on the other side.Cook for another 3-4 minutes till golden brown.Serve with Coriander chutney.
