- Cut ivygourd into thin strips. Add salt and set aside for 10 min. Squeeze to remove stickiness and keep aside.
- Heat oil in kadai, add mustard seeds after it splutters add urad dhal followed by onion and curry leaves.
- Saute till onion turns golden brown and add the ivygourd. Fry for few minutes.
- Add chilli powder and turmeric powder. Sprinkle water and cover with lid cook for 10min in low flame.
- Open lid and fry for 15 minutes. Check salt and add if required. Serve with steamed rice and any curry of your choice.
It grows like a wild fire. Fry until the seeds splutter and the urad dal turns golden. Add in the finely chopped onions and curry leaves. Fry till the onions are soft and starting to brown. Keep frying until everything sticks well to the tindora.
