- Boil the kettle
- In a saucepan, add the loose gunpowder tea leaves. Add 1 cup of boiling water and let it brew for 30 - 60 seconds, pour the tea into a cup and keep aside.
- Put another cup of water in the saucepan, swish it around and pour it in to another cup and discard with the tea leaves
- Add the first cup of tea you set aside, sugar and mint. Simmer for 5 minutes.
- Pour the tea into a cup and pour it back into the pot, do this three times.
- To pour it the traditional way, pour it from a height to create a slight foam, garnish with mint leaves and it is ready to drink!
