- Take Raw groundnuts

If you do not keep stirring the peanuts may cook more on one side or even get burnt marks. In Kenya, peanuts are referred to us groundnuts and locally called "Njugu Karanga" (Swahili). - First sort your groundnuts,from the bad ones and good ones(mine was a bit dirty so I had to sort)
- Wash it with running water, then place them in such a way they can drain the excess water,leave it for a while.
- Pre heat your oven to 180 degrees, grease your baking tray.
- Ensure that you have sprinkled enough salt to your ground nuts,then pour them on them on the baking tray,sprinkle oil (during this process you can sprinkle the salt and oil with your clean hands)
- Place them on your heated oven, bake them for 40 mins or until ready.
- Once baked, allow them to cool a bit then enjoy.
There are two main varieties of peanuts in Kenya namely the runner type and the bunch type (Red. Peanuts are so easy to roast at home. This recipe only requires raw peanuts, a hot oven, and the patience to keep the oven door closed for one whole hour, no matter how wonderful the peanut aroma! Place raw peanuts, in shell or shelled, one layer deep in a shallow baking pan. Juggu or njugu is a Swahili word for peanuts/ groundnuts.
