The ingredients needed to make Healthy Uttapam:
  1. Make ready 3 Cups rice
  2. Prepare 1 cup urad dal

Low in fat but high in flavours. A delicious and quick breakfast recipe made with rice and urad dal, seasoning and top with vegetables. The uttapam should be thick like regular uttapams. Now reduce the flame to medium.

Steps to make Healthy Uttapam:
  1. For batter - grind rice, urad dal, poha and fenugreek seeds.
  2. Keep the mixture overnight or 7-8 hours to ferment.
  3. After fermentation add salt. Add water as per required consistency.
  4. Cut onion, tomatoes, green chilli, coriander. Grate paneer. Take sprouts and add all above ingredients, add salt, little jeera powder and mix them well.
  5. Spread batter on tawa and spread above mixture on uttapam. Add oil or butter on sides of uttapam. Cook it from both the sides. And serve hot with sambar & chutney.
  6. I made red chutney with dry red chillies, chana dal, coconut, onion, garlic and tamarind.

Repeat the same process for the rest of the batter. Note - Oats Uttapam is very flimsy, so handle it gently while. A healthy and tasty twist to your Uttapam. Uthappam is a type of dosa from South India. Unlike a typical dosa, which is crisp and crepe-like, uttapam is thicker, with toppings.
