Ll कुंदरू की सब्जी ll Ivy Gourd Masala Curry or Kunduru Ki Sabji: It is also know as Bhareli Tondli or Tindora ka salan or stuffed Kundru or bharwa kundru. Kundru sabji ,very tasty vegetable,can serve with roti,chapati,parathas. Wash and slice the kundru into ½" thick slice.

  13. Take 1/2 red chilli powder
  14. Prepare 1 teaspoon coriander powder
  15. Take 1 teaspoon sabji masala
  16. Get 3 tablespoon oil
  17. Prepare To taste salt
  18. Make ready 1 tablespoon chopped coriander leaves

It is also known as Kinru, Tindora, Tendali and Tondali. Whole plant of Coccinia Indica is used for medicinal purpose. The leaves, fruit and roots show anti-diabetic effect. Diabetes Management using Kunduru or Kovai.

Instructions to make Kunduru(Ivy gourd) ki sabji:
  1. Heat oil in a pan and splutter mustard,cumin and fennel seeds.Add onion,ginger,garlic,green chilli,curry leaves and potatoes.
  2. Cook until onion become soft.Add turmeric,red chilli,coriander,salt,asafoetida and sabji masala. Saute for 1 minute.
  3. Add kunduru(wash and cut in small size), cover and cook for 10 minutes until kunduru become soft.
  4. Garnish with coriander leaves and enjoy.

Coccinia indica is used in Ayurveda and Siddha for the treatment of diabetes. It has blood sugar lowering effect. Kundru (Ivy Gourd) is a tropical vegetable from the family of "pumpkins". Bottle gourd curry, lauki sabzi or dudhi sabji is something I that make more with bottle gourd other than the dal. This lauki sabzi is very easy, simple and made with minimal ingredients and it goes well with roti, paratha or with dal-rice, rasam-rice etc.
