  2. Take 1/2 cup half boiled peas (hari matar)

  13. Prepare 1/2 tsp garam masala powder
  14. Get 1 tsp Cumin seeds
  15. Take 1 tbsp oil or desi ghee
  16. Take to taste Salt
  17. Take 3-4 cup water

Add Shan Kabuli Rice Mix and stir. Remove cover, fluff rice and cover. (Note: If the rice is not tender sprinkle half (½) cup of hot water over it). Nasi kebuli is an Indonesian variation of pilaf. This Afghani kabli pulao dish is made with basmati rice infused with big flavor from whole spices, onions, raisins, carrots, and almonds.

Steps to make Kabuli Rice:
  1. Wash rice and soak for 15 minutes.
  2. Wash chana dal soak for 30-40 minutes.
  3. Heat ghee in a cooker add cumin seeds, cloves, peppercorns, bayleaf, cinnamon stick, black cardamom fry for a minute.
  4. Add onion sliced fry for a min add ginger+garlic paste saute for few minutes. Add all spices mix well. Now add half boiled peas, chana dal and rice..add 3 cup water, salt mix well, after 3-4 whistle flame off..kabuli rice is ready for Serve.
  5. Serve hot with Raita or chutney.
