  6. Now using your hand, form flat patties or vadas.
  7. In a cooking pan, heat oil to medium heat. Drop the vadas one by one so that they become dark golden brown on the outside and cooked inside.
  8. It takes about 5 to 7 minutes for one batch of 4 vadas.
  9. Drain them on absorbent paper and Serve hot with coriander pudina chutney.
