  2. Soak lentil dumplings (baadi)in water for 5-10 mins
  3. Make a paste of onion,garlic, cumin seeds and peppercorns.
  4. Heat oil in a kadhai/pan.Add five spices and let it crackle
  5. Now add the masala and keep stirring for 1-2 mins,then add turmeric powder,red chillli powder,salt and mix the masalas nicely until the raw smell goes away.
  6. Now add the dumplings in the masala and let it cook for 4-5 mins on low flame.
  7. Remove the dumplings and then add brinjal in the same masala,lower the flame and let it cook for 4-5 mins.
  8. Add peas and little water and wait for the brinjal to cook properly.You can check with a knife.Then add chopped green chillies and coriander leaves.Serve hot with steamed rice.
