For this recipe, I take a cream sauce and smother it over thick cut potato rounds.

Steps to make Cheesy Potatoes:
  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
  2. Slice potatoes thin and onions thin.
  3. Add your potatoes, onions, mushrooms and seasoning. Stir ingredients so seasoning is spread nicely. Also add a little bit of water to the pan.
  4. Place pan in oven for 30 minutes or until potatoes are soft.
  5. Once potatoes are done remove the pan from the oven and add the bacon bits and cheese.
  6. Cook for 10 additional minutes or until cheese has completely melted.
  7. Remove from oven. You can add chives if you'd like.

I like to use a mandolin so that our potato slices come out the same every time. Potatoes - a good starchy potato will give you the best results here. I always use Maris Piper or Yukon Gold.
