Steps to make Chinnappam(small appams):
- Wash rice, dal, methidana and soak for 5 hours and then grind it in mixie. Add coconut, cooked rice in between and again grind (like dosa batter)
- Add sugar, salt and yeast and grind.
- Keep for fermenting for 6 or more hrs.(close view of fermentation).Take a laddle full batter and pour in a appam pan.
- Pour in middle of the pan and dont rotate or stir let it be. close the lid and let cook on one side.
- Turn on other side and cook.(can add drops of coconut oil it's optional). serve hot with some non veg curry or veg korma or chana gravy.
